■ Chemicaliën in de accu
Accuzuur is giftig en bijtend en kan het ontstaan van licht ontvlambaar en explo-
sief waterstof veroorzaken. Neem bij werkzaamheden bij of aan de accu de vol-
gende voorzorgsmaatregelen in acht om ernstig letsel te voorkomen:
● Veroorzaak geen vonken met gereedschap.
● Rook nooit en steek nooit een lucifer of een aansteker aan bij de accu.
● Voorkom dat ogen, huid of kleren in contact komen met de elektrolyt.
● Adem of slik nooit elektrolyt in.
● Gebruik een veiligheidsbril als u bij de accu bezig bent.
● Laat kinderen niet in de buurt spelen als u met de accu bezig bent.
■ Een veilige plaats voor het opladen van de accu
Laad de accu altijd op in een open ruimte. Laad de accu niet op in een garage of
in een afgesloten ruimte waar onvoldoende ventilatie is.
■ Noodmaatregelen met betrekking tot elektrolyt
● Als er elektrolyt in uw ogen terechtkomt
Spoel de ogen minstens 15 minuten met water en schakel direct medische
hulp in. Blijf zo mogelijk water met een spons of doek op de ogen deppen, ter-
wijl u naar een arts of het ziekenhuis gaat.
● Als er elektrolyt op uw huid terechtkomt
Was de huid zorgvuldig met veel water. Als het pijn doet of brandt, roept u met-
een medische hulp in.
● Als er elektrolyt op uw kleding terechtkomt
De elektrolyt kan via de kleding op uw huid terechtkomen. Trek de kleding
waar deze op is terechtgekomen uit en handel indien nodig zoals hierboven
beschreven.
● Als u per ongeluk elektrolyt binnenkrijgt
Drink zo veel mogelijk water of melk. Drink dan magnesiummelk, geklopt rauw
ei of plantaardige olie. Schakel zo snel mogelijk medische hulp in.
