Straight stitching
Starting to sew (fig A)
Hold the threads for the first few stitches to avoid
knotting on the under surface.
3. Raise the needle to its highest position, and lift the
presser foot lever.
4. Place fabric under the presser foot. Lower presser foot.
5. Press the foot controller lightly and sew forward,
guiding the fabric by hand as it is fed. Do not push
or pull the material.
Turn a square corner (fig B)
To change sewing direction.
1. Stop the machine at the point you want to change
sewing directions, with the needle in the fabric.
2. Raise the presser foot, turn the fabric to its new direction.
3. Lower the presser foot and begin sewing in the new
direction.
Reverse sewing (fig C)
To reinforce seam, it is recommended to start or end
with a few stitches in reverse sewing.
Push the reverse lever to sew reverse. Guide the
fabric as it is fed. Do not pull the material.
For reinforcment, a few stitches are enough.
Release lever to return to forward sewing.
Finishing sewing (fig D)
1. Stop pressing the foot controller. Turn the
handwheel until the needle is at its highest
position. Raise presser foot.
2. Draw out the fabric to the left. (fig D-1)
3. Cut threads with the cutter. (fig D-2)
4. Leave 15 cm of thread clear behind to prevent the
thread from drawing out of the needle eye.

Tenir les fils des quelques premiers points pour
éviter de coudre sur l'envers.
3. Lever l’aiguille à sa position la plus haute, et lever

5. Presser doucement sur la pédale et coudre en
avant, en guidant le tissu avec les mains pour
alimenter la machine. Evitez de pousser ou de tirer
le tissu.
Changement de direction de couture (fig. B)
Coudre en changeant de directions.
1. Arrêter la machine au point où vous voulez
changer de direction, avec l’aiguille dans le tissu.
2. Levez le pied-de-biche, tourner le tissu vers sa
nouvelle direction.
3. Abaissez le pied-de-biche et commencez à coudre
dans la nouvelle direction.
Coudre en marche arrière (fig. C)
Pour renforcer la couture, il est recommandé de
commencer ou de terminer avec quelques points
cousus en marche arrière.
Pousser le levier de marche arrière pour coudre en
marche arrière. Guider le tissu lorsqu’il alimente la
machine. Eviter de tirer sur le tissu.
Pour renforcer une couture, plusieurs points sont
nécessaires.
Relâcher le levier de marche arrière pour revenir au
mode de couture vers l’avant.
Pour terminer la couture (fig. D)
1. Arrêter de presser la pédale. Tournez le volant
jusqu’à ce que l’aiguille se retrouve à sa position
la plus haute. Lever le pied-de-biche.
2. Retirer le tissu par la gauche. (fig. D-1)
3. Couper les fils avec le coupe-fil. (fig. D-2)
4. Laisser 15 cm de fil libre derrière afin de
l’empêcher de sortir du chas de l’aiguille. (fig. D-3)
