Voor een optimale levensduur van de accu
is het noodzakelijk om het laadniveau van de
accu op een voldoende peil te houden.
In sommige gevallen kan het dan ook nodig zijn
om de accu op te laden:
- als u voornamelijk korte ritten maakt,
- voordat de auto meerdere weken niet wordt
gebruikt.
Neem contact op met een erkende Toyota-
dealer of hersteller/reparateur of een andere
naar behoren gekwalificeerde en uitgeruste
deskundige.
12V-accu opladen met een
acculader
F Zet het contact uit.
F Schakel alle stroomverbruikers (autoradio,
verlichting, ruitenwissers enz.) uit.
Als u zelf de accu van uw auto gaat
opladen, gebruik dan uitsluitend een
lader die geschikt is voor loodaccu's en
die een nominale spanning van 12 V
heeft.
Volg de door de fabrikant van de lader geleverde
instructies.
Sluit de kabels nooit aan op de verkeerde polen.
Probeer niet een bevroren accu op te
laden. Risico van explosie!
Als de accu is bevroren, laat hem dan
nakijken door een erkende Toyota-
dealer of hersteller/reparateur of een
andere naar behoren gekwalificeerde
en uitgeruste deskundige. Deze zal
controleren of de interne onderdelen
niet zijn beschadigd en of het huis niet
is gescheurd. Scheuren kunnen ervoor
zorgen dat er een giftig en bijtend zuur
lekt.
Als deze sticker is aangebracht, mag
uitsluitend een 12V-lader worden
gebruikt. Anders kan de elektrische
uitrusting van het Stop & Start-systeem
ernstig beschadigd raken.
De accu hoeft niet te worden
losgekoppeld.
F Schakel om gevaarlijke vonken te
voorkomen de lader B uit alvorens de
kabels op de accu aan te sluiten.
F Controleer of de kabels van de lader in
goede staat zijn.
F Beweeg het kunststof kapje van de
pluspool omhoog (indien aanwezig).
F Sluit de kabels van de lader B als volgt
aan:
- de rode pluskabel (+) op de pluspool (+)
van de accu A,
- de zwarte minkabel (-) op het massapunt
C van de auto.
F Schakel na het laden de lader B uit
alvorens de kabels los te maken van de
accu A.
