10.6 Deleting All Messages
You can delete all of the messages stored in the
Inbox and the Outbox as follows:
1. Press the SMS key to display the SMS menu
items.
Or, press the MENU soft key to display the Main me-
nu items, then press the key to choose Favorite,
then press SELECT soft key and select 5:SMS by
pressing the SELECT soft key.
2. Press repeatedly the or key to choose
4:Delete All, then press the SELECT soft key.
3. Press repeatedly the or key to choose
Inbox All Del or Outbox All Del and press the
SELECT soft key. The first option deletes all
the messages stored in the Inbox, the second
one deletes all the messages stored in the
Outbox.
4. The display prompts you to confirm the dele-
tion. If you really want to delete all press the
messages the SELECT soft key, if not press the
CANCEL soft key.
5. Press the key to exit.

10.7 Setting the Public Key (confidential messages)*
With this feature you can prevent an unauthorized
person from accessing your private messages.
You can store up to 3 alphanumeric public keys
and associate each of them to a numeric
password. After setting your public keys/
passwords, you can give a public key to any one
needing to send you a private message. When you
receive a message protected by a public key, the
message cannot be opened unless you enter the
associated password.
To set the public key:
1. Press the SMS key to display the SMS menu
items.
Or, press the MENU soft key to display the
Main menu items, then press the key to
choose Favorite, then press SELECT soft key
and select 5:SMS by pressing the SELECT soft
key.
2. Press repeatedly the or key to choose
6:Key Settings, then press the SELECT soft
key.
3. Press repeatedly the or key to choose
the desired Public Key memory cell, then press
the SELECT soft key.
4. Enter the alphanumeric public key you want to
use and press the SELECT soft key. You can en-
ter up to 5 characters following the directions
stated in par. 4.1.c.
5. Enter a 4-digit password to associate to the
public key and press the SELECT soft key.
6. Enter the password once again to confirm it
and press the SELECT soft key.
7. Press the key to exit.
✍The Public Key feature is a typical function which could
be available in the fixed and cordless SMS-featured
phones only, so it is not available in the mobile phones.
*This feature may not be available with your
easyDECT 3300 country version.
