10.2 Setting Terminal Number*
When more than one handset is registered to one
base, setting the terminal number on each handset is
required. It allows the message sender to specify the
handset which will receive the message by entering
the addressee's terminal number. You can set each
terminal number with a number from 1 to 9.
✍You can enter the same terminal number in more than
one handset.
✍If you do not enter the terminal number, the handset is
automatically set to the terminal number 1.
1. Press the SMS key to display the SMS menu
items.
Or, press the MENU soft key to display the
Main menu items, then press the key to
choose Favorite, then press SELECT soft key
and select 5:SMS by pressing the SELECT soft
key.
2. Press repeatedly the or key to choose
5:SMS Settings, then press the SELECT soft
key.
3. Press repeatedly the or key to choose
3:Terminal No, then press the SELECT soft key
4. Enter the 1-digit terminal number using the
numeric keys. You can also use the or or
key.
5. Press the SELECT soft key to save the setting.
7. To exit, press the key.
*This feature may not be available with your
easyDECT 3300 country version.
10.3 Writing and Sending a New Message
You can create a text message containing up to 160
alphanumeric characters and send it as a SMS, fax or
e-mail message.
10.3.a Sending SMS
1. Press the SMS key to display the SMS menu
items.
Or, press the MENU soft key to display the Main
menu items, then press the key to choose
Favorite, then press SELECT soft key and select
5:SMS by pressing the SELECT soft key.
2. Press the SELECT soft key to choose 1:Write
Message.
3. Enter the message text (up to 16 characters)
by using the alphanumeric keys, then press the
OK soft key.
(4. Press the SELECT soft key to choose 1:SMS)*
5. Press the or key to choose 1:Enter
Number or 2:Search Number.
• Enter Number allows you to manually dial a
phone number by using the numeric key.
• Search Number allows you to select a number
from the phonebook.
6. Enter the phone number where you want to
send the message or select it from the phone-
book entries (by using the or key and
the SELECT soft key), then press the OK soft
key.
