NOTE: The batteries must not be recharged, disassembled, electrically short-circuited, be
mixed or used with other types of batteries. If rechargeable accumulators instead of
batteries are going to be used, we recommend using (e.g. NiMH) types with low self-
discharge to ensure long time operation of remote control.
1.5 Usage of external USB devices
It is recommended to use USB 2.0 storage devices. If your device is not compatible to USB 2.0
specifications, it might not work properly.
THOMSON cannot guarantee compatibility with all types of USB storage devices.
It is advised not to store important information on USB storage devices used with the receiver. Always
make backups of data on your USB storage device before using it with this receiver. THOMSON will not
take responsibility for any loss of information or circumstances caused by loss of information.
Please ensure that either the USB device is already formatted to FAT32.
2.0 RECEIVER
2.1 Front panel

1. Slot for smart-card:
The slot is located on the lower bottom side of the receiver. It is intended for
service functions only and is not used during operation.
2. Remote sensor: Receives signals from the remote control.
3. Indicator LED: Lights up in green in operating mode and red in standby mode.
4. USB port: For connecting an external USB storage device.
2.2 Rear panel

1. IR To connect an infrared extender (not included)
2. ANT IN To connect to the antenna
3. HDMI To connect an HDMI cable with your HDTV
4. AV To connect the corresponding RCA inputs of the TV or analogue audio system
with your receiver.
5. S/PDIF (coaxial) To connect the digital audio amplifier/ home theatre.
6. DC POWER To connect the supplied power adapter with the receiver (Input 110-240 V 50 ~
60 Hz/output 12 V/1.0 A DC max ).
