• NEN 6068 (determination of the resistance to spread of fire between areas) should be taken into account, in
accordance with the regulations in the (Building Materials) Soil Protection Decree. An encasement of fire-
proof material (e.g. Promatect 12 mm fire-resistant sheeting) is required 25 mm from the outer duct.
• Establish the position of the appliance and the outlet and start constructing the duct with the connection to
the appliance (always 1 metre vertical first). Pay attention to the fitting direction (black sealing rings point-
ing upwards) and use the clamping strips to connect the elements together. Ensure that all connections are
fully gastight.
• The course of the duct must comply with the set requirements;
• Take care when fitting the baffle; see “Connections for concentric duct system”.
• The ≤ 250 mm shorterable pipe can be used between bends or for connection to the appliance and/or roof
duct.
• Use 2 wall brackets on every storey to support the duct.

10. Putting the ceramic log set in place
First open the door (I). Then dismount the 4 glass ( C ) strips by loosening the M5 bolts.
* Before placing the ceramic materials (after service or inspection), Check the burner position. The burner
must be in correct position to avoid negatively influence of the flame pattern. Therefore check if the posi-
tion of the burner inlet is placed against the injector.
* Begin to scatter the ceramic grit ( placed in bag A ) at the left and the right site of the burner. round about
* Place the rest of the grit ( bag B ) on the burner.
* Fill the burning chamber with the decorative ceramic materials in that order as showed at the illustrations 3
till 8.
* As final scatter the ceramic flakes and the vermiculite in freedom of action.
*
Check the flame pattern. Incorrect placed logs can negatively influence the flame pattern and the combus-
tion.
