Problems and possible solutions to them
SYMPTOM TE ONDERNEMEN AKTIE
The pilot flame does not burn after re-
peated pressing on the ignition button.
1. If you are switching the unit on for the first time or after a service, there is air in the pipes.
It will take a little while until all the air has flowed out of the pipes and gas which can be
ignited comes through. Take it away and try to switch on the pilot several times in order to
allow the air to escape.
2. See whether the gas pipe to the apparatus is open and that there is sufficient gas pressure
to the apparatus.
3. Check whether there are sparks between the spark electrode and the pilot. If there are no
sparks:
a) Check whether the connection between the electrode and the ignition is broken or
faulty.
b) Check whether the spark short circuits at another point or jumps.
c) Check whether the ignition is broken.
d) Check whether the electrode is broken.
4. Take the door away and try to light the pilot with a match.
a) If air blows onto the match flame, then hold the control button pressed in longer in the
PILOT position (HB) or with the AB version start to repeat the process until the air in
the pipe has escaped.
b) If no air or gas comes from the pilot pipe, then this is probably blocked or the gas valve
is perhaps broken.
The pilot flame does not continue to
burn following ignition.
(Manual operation)
1. Press the operating button in fully.
2. Hold the operating button in for longer.
3. If you wish to switch on the pilot immediately after extinguishing it, you need to wait a
few minutes in order to give the valve time to unbolt.
4. Check whether the pilot flame is large enough to burn round the thermocouple. If the
flame is too small you must check the gas feed pressure. If the pressure is good you must
adjust the height of the pilot flame on the gas valve of the apparatus. If the height of the
pilot flame cannot be adjusted, there may be an obstruction in the pilot.
5. Check whether the thermocouple is connected to the gas valve properly.
6. Check that the gas valve is not faulty.
7. With “S” version: Check the contact points of the TTB and clean if necessary.
8. With “S” version: replace TTB.
9. With “CC” version: With “S” version: too little or too much draw See point 12. Concen-

The pilot flame does not continue to
burn following ignition.
(Remote control)
1. Check whether the pilot flame is large enough to burn round the thermocouple. If the
flame is too small you must check the gas feed pressure. If the pressure is good you must
adjust the height of the pilot flame on the gas valve of the apparatus. If the height of the
pilot flame cannot be adjusted, there may be an obstruction in the pilot.
2. Check whether the thermocouple interrupter is connected to the gas valve properly.
3. Check that the gas valve is not faulty.
4. With “S” version: Check the TTB contact points and clean if necessary.
5. With “S” version: replace TTB.
6. With “CC” version: too little or too much draw See point 12. Concentric flue system CC
on page 11.
Please check first of all whether all guidelines were followed before attempting to solve any problems with
the apparatus.
