Setup and connection
Location tips
Select a stable, level base.
Make sure that the environment is clean and free from
dust.
Avoid placing the unit close to sources of heat or in
direct sunlight.
Arrange the connector cables so that they do not pose
a trip hazard.
Do not place any heavy objects on top of the cables or
the unit.
Connecting the speakers
Use the enclosed speaker cables to connect the speakers.
You can order longer cables if you need them in our web-
shop (www.teufelaudio.com) in the “Accessories” area.
The connector terminals 16 “SPEAKER” for the right (“R”)
and left (“L”) speaker are located on the back side of the
CD receiver.
The terminals are each marked in red (+) and black (-).
Make sure the polarity is correct!
Connect the like-coloured terminal clips with
one another. Otherwise, the sound quality will
suffer. The strands of the speaker cables are marked
with different colours or shapes.
Split the single-wire down to
approx. 30 mm on both ends
and strip approx. 10 mm of
insulation off of each cord.
Twist the single wire so that
no strands are protruding. Tin
coating is not necessary.
Flip up the connector terminal lever
up or down to open the terminal.
Insert the stripped cable end into the
terminal opening and then fold the
lever down again. The cable has now
been clamped in place.
Antenna
Danger
Risk associated with lightning strike!
If you are using outdoor or roof antennas, be
absolutely sure that the antenna has lightning
protection.
Connect the antenna for receiving FM/USW stations to
the jack 17 “FM”. This may be a roof/outside antenna,
but also a cable television connection. You will need a
coaxial connector cable for this.
If no antenna connection is available at the location, you
can use the enclosed throw-out aerial
. Push the aerial plug into the jack
17 “FM” and adjust the position of
the throw-out aerial for best recep-
tion. Then fi x the antenna in place
with adhesive tape.
Audio input
You can connect almost any audio source such as a com-
puter, MP3 player (with/without a dock), video game sys-
tem, television etc. to the RCA jacks 18AUX IN” on the
back side of the device. The source device only requires
an output with line control. Such outputs are confi gured
either as stereo RCA jacks or as 3.5 mm jack plug. You
can connect these devices to the jacks 18AUX IN” with
a corresponding connector cable. You can fi nd such
cables in our webshop (www.teufelaudio.com) in the “Ac-
cessories area.
Connecting to a power supply
Connect the jack 19 on the back side of the device with a
power supply socket via the power cord
. The standby
light 1 on the front of the device will illuminate in blue.
