FM antenna
Connect the antenna for receiving FM/VHF stations to
the jack 13 “FM. This can be a roof/outdoor antenna or
a cable television connection. You will need a coaxial
cable for this.
If an antenna connection is not available at your setup
location, you can use the enclosed dipole FM antenna
. Unwind the throw-out aerial, screw the lugs onto
the adapter
, push the
adapter into the jack 13
“FM” and adjust the position
of the throw-out aerial until
you have the best reception.
Then fi x the antenna in place
with tape or a nail.

Setup and Connecting
Setup location
Select a stable, level base.
Make sure that the environment is clean and free from
dust.
Avoid placing the unit close to sources of heat or in
direct sunlight.
Arrange the connector cables so that they do not pose
a trip hazard.
Do not place any heavy objects on top of the cables or
the unit.
There should be approximately 10 cm of space around
the device to enable adequate air circulation.
Connecting the speakers
To connect the speakers, use high-quality, two-conductor
speaker cable with a diameter of at least 1.5 mm
2
(AWG
15). You can order cables and banana plugs in our web-
shop (www.teufelaudio.com) in the “Accessories” area.

then push the plug into the visible jack of the connector
terminal.
If you don’t use any banana plugs,
turn the connector terminal 22
counterclockwise to loosen it. Insert
the stripped cable end into the hole
that is now visible. Turn the terminal
clockwise. This will clamp the cable
in place.
Subwoofer
You can connect an active subwoofer to the RCA jack
25 “Sub Out. Only low frequency audio signals will be
issued at this jack up to an adjustable frequency.
Antennas

Risk associated with lightning strike!
If you are using outdoor or roof antennas, be
absolutely sure that the antenna has lightning
protection.
The connector terminals 22 “Speakers” for the fi ve satel-
lites are located on the back of the DVD receiver:
Front – front speakers, “Left”and “Right”.
Center – middle speakers.
Rear – rear speakers, “Left” and “Right”.
The terminals are each marked red (+) and black (-).
Observe the correct polarity!
Connect the like coloured terminals with each
other. Otherwise the sound quality will suffer.
The wires of the speaker cables are marked with differ-
ent colours or shapes.
Split the speaker cable on both
ends over a length of about 30 mm
and remove approximately 10 mm
of the insulation sheathing. Twist
the cable to ensure that no wires
protrude.
Connecting the cables to the speakers should be de-
scribed in the operating instructions for the speakers.
If you use banana plugs, screw the cord into place on
the plug (see instructions for the banana plug), remove
