INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
GETTING STARTED
• Before using the appliance for the first time, wash all parts that come into
contact with food: the basket (14), handle (16), cooking pot (10), and lid (7).
Consult the “CLEANING” section for information.
BASKET HANDLE UNIT
Before using the appliance it is fundamental that the handle (16) of the basket
(14) is properly assembled.
Proceed as follows:
Manually screw the handle till inserting the folded
end into the basket holes (Fig. 5)
Place the metal handle bar inside the basket
retainer and check the handle to be properly fixed
to the basket (Fig.6).
Warning!
Always make sure that the handle and the
basket are properly assembled before using the
appliance.
HOW TO USE
Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from
flammable materials or substances (e.g. curtains, tablecloths …) and from
sources of heat (e.g. ovens, stovetops …).
Completely unwind the power cord, taking care not to set it against the
appliance as it becomes hot when in use.
Fill the cooking pot (8a) with oil to a level between the MIN and Max level
indications (8) shown inside the cooking pot. Only use oils that are suitable for
deep frying (check the information shown on the package of oil).
Place the lid (7) on the cooking pot and plug into the power outlet i
n an easy
to reach place for safety reasons. The light (2) will turn on.
Turn the temperature control knob (3) and set the required temperature for the
food.
When the temperature light (4) shuts off, the appliance is ready to use.
• Place the food in the basket (14). Do not exceed the max food limit (15)
indicated inside the basket, slowly remove the lid (7) beware of hot steam
released and use the special handle (16) to lower
the basket (14) in the cooking pot (10).
Close the lid (7) taking care that it is properly lined
up with the opening handle (fig.7) and cook for the
required frying time. (see “FRYING TIMES” chart)
Every now and again check how the food is frying
through the view hole (13) until achieving the
desired result.
When you are finished frying, turn the temperature
control knob (3) to OFF, unplug from the power outlet, carefully open the lid
(7), raise the basket (14) using the special handle (16) and carefully drain over
the cooking pot to remove excess oil. Empty the food onto a plate covered
with paper towels to drain.
Leave the appliance with the lid off to cool down the oil.
Warning!
Do not move or lift the appliance while in use or when it is full of hot oil
as you could get burned.
Only immerse dry foods in the oil to avoid spattering hot oil.
Atención!
No intentar nunca desplazar o levantar el aparato mientras está en
funcionamiento o cuando todavía está lleno de aceite caliente ya que
podrían quemarse.
Sumergir en el aceite solo alimentos secos para evitar salpicaduras de
aceite hirviente.
Durante la cocción, por las aberturas superiores de la tapa sale vapore
hirviente: poner atención ya que es posible quemarse.
No dejen utilizar el aparato a niños y tenerles a una distancia adecuada
durante el funcionamiento.
No dejar el aparato sin vigilancia mientras está en marcha.
No cocer excesivamente los alimentos porque podrían incendiarse.
No poner en funcionamiento el aparato sin aceite.
Quitar la tapa (7) utilizando siempre las empuñaduras (12) al efecto.
¡Importante!
Antes de cada utilización averiguar siempre que el nivel del aceite esté
presente entre las referencias MIN y MAX presentes en el interior de la
cubeta de cocción (10).
Poner en funcionamiento el aparato solo después de introducir el aceite.
TABLATIEMPO DE COCCIÓN
Los tiempos de cocción que se recogen en la tabla son puramente indicativos,
en efecto pueden variar según la cantidad, la calidad y las dimensiones de los
alimentos.
NOTA
Los tiempos de cocción de los alimentos congelados generalmente son más
largos que los de los alimentos frescos.
