Setting Up the Grill
Warning Risk of damage!
The screws can loosen slowly
during operation and affect the
grill stability.
Check whether the screws are tight
prior to each use. If necessary, tighten
all of the screws again to ensure the grill
stands stable.
Place the grill on an even, sturdy surface
outdoors before use.
Before Grilling
Prior to rst use, wash the cooking
grate (20) with warm soapy water.
• Pre-ring
Before you use the grill for the rst time,
it needs to be conditioned (pre-red) for
at least 30 minutes at a temperature of
100° – 200°C.
This is necessary in order to make the
inside ready for barbecuing and to burn
in the heat-resistant paint on the outside.

mportant: All screws must
be fastened tight.
Operation
Danger Burning hazard!
The grill, charcoal and the food
being grilled become very hot
during use. Any contact can
result in serious burns.
Keep sufcient distance from hot parts
since any contact can lead to severe
burns.
Always wear oven or barbecue gloves
when grilling.
Use only long-handled utensils with
heat-resistant grips.
Do not wear any clothing with wide
sleeves.
Use only dry lighters or special uid
lighters compliant with EN 1860-3 as
relighters.
1. Place 1-2 solid relighters in the mid-
dle of the grill body (A). Pay attention
to the manufacturer’s instructions on
the packaging. Light the relighters
with a match.
2. Layer maximum 1.8 kg of charcoal
around the relighters.
3. Prior to rst use, the grill must be pre-
red for minimum 30 minutes. Refer to
the Before Grilling section.
4. As soon as the charcoal is glowing,
distribute it evenly on the grate (19).
To do this, use a suitable reproof tool
with a long, reproof handle.
5. Place the food to be grilled on the grate
only when the charcoal is covered with
a bright layer of ash.
