Operation
Danger Risk of burning!
The grill, the charcoal and grill
meat become very hot during
use. Any contact can result in
serious burns.
Keep sufficient distance from the hot
parts, since any contact can lead to
severe burns.
Always wear oven or grill gloves when
grilling.
Use only long-handled utensils with
heat-resistant grips.
Do not wear any clothing with wide
sleeves.
Use only dry lighters or special fluid
lighters compliant with EN 1860-3 as
firelighters.
1. Pivot the grill grate (C) to the side.
To release or secure the grill grate
position, loosen or tighten the upper
wing screw (S4) underneath the grill
grate handle.
2. The ash collecting pan (F) collects the
hot ash during grilling. Operate the
grill only with the ash collecting pan
in place. Caution! The ash collecting
pan can become very hot. Do not
remove the ash pan during grilling,
since the pan is heated intensely by
the hot grill.
3. Place 2-3 solid firelighters in the
middle of the fire bowl (A). Pay
attention to the manufacturer’s
instructions on the packaging. Light
the firelighters with a match.
4. Layer a maximum 3 kg of charcoal
or charcoal briquettes around the
firelighters.
5. Prior to first use, the grill must be pre-
fired for a minimum 1-2 hours.
See section
Before grilling
.
6. As soon as the charcoal is glowing,
spread it evenly over the fire bowl (A).
To do this, use a suitable fireproof tool
with a long, fireproof handle.
7. Pivot the grill grate (C) over the fire
bowl (A).
8. Only place the grill meat on the grate
when the charcoal is covered with a
bright layer of ash.
9. Food for grilling can be laid out ready
on the bamboo side rack (D).
10. Place the cooked food on the warming
grate (M) to keep it warm. The height
of the warming grate can be adjusted.
Loosen the wing screw (S4) in order
to adjust the height of the square pin
and thus of the warming grate. Then
tighten the wing screw again.
11. Long-handled and heat resistant
utensils for use during cooking can be
hung on the grill utensil bar (K). The
maximum load of the grill utensil bar
must not exceed 1 kg.
