Danger Burning hazard!
Never use liquids such as
petrol,turpentine, spirits etc. to
light or re-light the fire. These
substances inflame explosively
and are poisonous to some ex-
tent. Use dry firelighters in-
stead.
Never add a fluid firelighter or char-
coal/firewood soaked in fluid fire lighter
on hot or warm charcoal/firewood.
Use only dry lighters or special fluid
lighters compliant with EN 1860-3 as
fire lighters. Make sure to observe the
manufacturer’s instructions.
1. Build a pyramid from small, well dried
firewood sections.
2. Place dry firelighters in the pyramid.
3. Ignite the firelighters.
4. When the small firewood pieces have
caught enough fire, you can place
some bigger pieces of firewood on
them.
Danger Burning hazard!
Make sure that the fire does
not get to big. Never leave an
open fire and hot embers unat-
tended.
Danger Injury hazard!
Incompetent repairs may com-
promise the functionality of
your basket. In this manner you
put yourself and others at risk.
Maintenance and
Cleaning
Your fire basket is made of high-quality
materials. To clean and maintain the sur-
faces, please heed the following instruc-
tions:
Danger Burning hazard!
Let the basket cool down com-
pletely before cleaning it.
Only tip out the ash when the fuel has
completely burned out.
Danger Health hazard!
Do not use any paint removers
or thinners to remove stain.
Warning Risk of damage!
Do not use any strong or grind-
ing solvents or abrasive pads
since these can damage the
surfaces and cause permanent
scrape marks.
• Let the fuel burn out completely after
use. This makes the cleaning easier.
• Remove the cold ashes. It is very im-
portant you remove the ash before
moisture comes into contact with
the cold ash. Ash is saline and, in
a moist condition, will attack the in-
side of the fire basket. Therefore the
the fire basket and the ash tray can
be damaged by rust over the years.
• Regularly clean the fire basket, ideally
after each use.
• Remove loose deposits on the fire bas-
ket with a wet sponge.
• Use a soft, clean cloth to dry. Be care-
ful not to scratch the surfaces while
drying.
• Clean the internal and external sur-
faces generally with warm soapy water.
