De oefening met constante hartfrequentie (CPR)
Oefeningen met constante hartfrequentie zijn erg belangrijk in al die situaties waarin men bepaalde hartritmewaarden constant wil houden. Bij oefeningen
met constante hartslag wordt om die reden de moeilijkheidsgraad automatisch gereguleerd en wel zodanig dat de hartfrequentie op de gekozen waarde wordt
gebracht en vervolgens tijdens de gehele oefening constant wordt gehouden.
Dit soort oefeningen worden met een constant vermogen uitgevoerd; de afremming is afhankelijk van de snelheid.
Bij deze oefening is de hartfrequentiemeter noodzakelijk.
