Caution
Be careful when you remove the espresso filter holder (9) because the metal parts could be still
hot. To remove the filter holder, turn it to the left toward the symbol until the filter holder
comes out of the appliance (Fig. 7).
Attention: Make sure that there is no more steam under pressure.
Remove the filter holder (9). Place the filter locking flap (so that the filter doesn’t fall) and
empty the coffee grinding from the filter (11) (Fig. 8).
HOW TO PREPARE A CAPPUCCINO
First of all prepare a coffee as described above letting enough space in the cup for the milk.
1. Make sure the function selector is in “0” position.
2. Swing the steam pipe to the right.
3. Then fill the desired milk quantity into a heat resistant container (it has to be large enough
to avoid splashing, do not fill more than half of the recipient) and place it under the steam
pipe. Immerse the steam nozzle completely in the milk in order to avoid splashing. We
recommend you to use semi-skimmed cold milk only; do not use hot milk.
4. Press the espresso On/Off switch , the orange and green pilot light will come on.
5. Turn the function selector to . The steam will come out of the steam pipe as soon as the
orange pilot light (F) goes out.
6. As soon as you have frothing and creamy milk, stop the steaming release by turning the
function selector to “.0” position.
7. Switch off the appliance by pressing the espresso On/Off switch .
8. Pour the creamy milk on the espresso.
PREPARING A TEA OR OTHER HOT BEVERAGES
If you wish to prepare a tea or other hot beverages, simply immerse the steam nozzle in the
liquid you wish to warm up.
Press the espresso On/Off switch and wait for the orange preheating pilot light to go
out. Then turn the function selector to .
Once the liquid is hot enough, press the espresso On/Off switch (E) and turn the
function selector (14) to “0”.
CLEANING
Before cleaning the appliance, switch it off, remove the plug from the wall socket and wait
until it cools down. The filters, the filter holders, the jugs and their lids, the grid of the drip tray
and the drip tray can be washed in hot soapy water. Do not put them in the dishwasher. Wipe
the body of the appliance with a damp cloth. Never immerse the body of the appliance in
water or any other liquid. Clean the support of the espresso filter holder with a damp cloth too
in order to eliminate the coffee residues. If necessary, the residues of ground coffee can also
be removed with a toothpick.
