TASCAM SS-CDR200/SS-R200/SS-R100 69
Using the CD menu to work with CD-RW discs, you can
erase, unfinalize and refresh (completely erase) discs as
well as erase tracks. This chapter explains these CD-RW
management functions.
The following explanations assume that
CD
is selected as
the current device and that a CD-RW is loaded.
NOTE
You can also use the CD menu to finalize CD-R/CD-RW
discs, and copy files between CDs and USB, SD and CF
media. Finalizing is explained in “4 – Recording (“Finalizing
CD-R/CD-RW discs” on page 43), and copying files
between CDs and USB, SD and CF media is explained in “10
– Copying files between CDs and USB, SD and CF media”
(page 63).
Unfinalizing CD-RW discs
If a finalized CD-RW disc is loaded, you can use the
ERASE
item to unfinalize the disc.
1 Press the MENU [JOG] button (or remote control
MENU button) to open the
MENU
screen.
2 Open the
CD
menu.
3 Select
ERASE
.
4 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER
button) to open a pop-up window where you can
select the
Erase Media
item.
5 Turn the MULTI JOG dial (or press the remote
control 5 and b buttons) to select
Unfinalize
.
6 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER
button).
A confirmation pop-up message appears.
7 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER
button) again to start unfinalizing the disc.
- UNFINALIZE -
and a progress bar appear in a
pop-up while the disc is being unfinalized.
When unfinalizing is completed, the
CD
menu will
reopen.
Erasing CD-RW discs
You can completely erase an entire CD-RW disc.
1 Press the MENU [JOG] button (or remote control
MENU button) to open the
MENU
screen.
2 Open the
CD
menu.
3 Select
ERASE
.
4 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER
button) to open a pop-up window where you can
select the
Erase Media
item.
5 Turn the MULTI JOG dial (or press the remote
control 5 and b buttons) to select
Erase Media
.
6 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control to
select button).
A confirmation pop-up message appears.
7 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER
button) again to start erasing the disc.
-- ERASE --
and a progress bar appear in a pop-up
while the disc is being erased.
After erasing the disc completes, the
CD
menu will
reopen.
NOTE
If you erase a finalized CD-RW disc, the unit will unfinalize
the disc before erasing it.
