4.7 General operation
4.7.1 Switching on/off
1. Press the J/s button. The answering machine is switched on, the LED above the
q/p button lights up.
2. Press the J/s button again to switch the answering machine off.
4.7.2 Listening-in to incoming messages
The integrated loudspeaker enables you to listen to messages as they are being recorded. If you do
not want to listen-in to incoming calls, reduce the volume by pressing the V olume button z as
often as necessary.
4.7.3 Interrupting a recording
If you lift the receiver while an incoming message is being recorded, recording is stopped and you
cantalktothecaller.
4.8 Playing back messages
Note: When the LED above the q/p button is flashing, it means that new messages,
memos or call extracts have been recorded in your absence.
1. Press the q/p button once.
The answering machine plays the recorded messages. The last message recorded is
played back first.
If the LED is not flashing, all recorded messages that you have not yet deleted will be
played back. If no messages have been saved, you will hear several beep tones.
2. To interrupt playback of the messages, press the q/p button.
3. Press the q/p button again to resume playback of the messages.
4. To stop playback of the messages, press the J/s button.
After the last message has been played back, two acoustic signals are issued.
4.8.1 Repeat playback of current message
Press the x / REC button to repeat playback of the current message.
4.8.2 Repeat playback of previous message
Press the x / REC button until an acoustic signal is issued. The previous message is played back
again.
4.8.3 Skipping a message
Press the u / TIME CHECK button once to skip the message currently being played. The
answering machine plays the next message.
4.8.4 Skipping several messages
Press the u / TIME CHECK button several times in succession.
4.8.5 Deleting individual messages
Press the h button while the message to be deleted is being played.
4.8.6 Deleting all messages
Press and hold the h button until an acoustic signal is issued.
