10.3 Dialling pause

In order to insert a d ialling pause in p rivate branch exchanges, an automatic pause can be

entered after dialling the number for an outside line by pressing the

( button for 3

seconds. The

( button can be assigned one of the following dialling pauses:

1sec(

PAUSE : 1), 1.5 sec (PAUSE : 2), 2 sec (PAUSE : 3), 3 sec (PAUSE : 4)

1. Press the Menu button

" and use the ( or ) button to select the BASE

menu. Confirm by pressing the " button.

2. Select the

PAUSE menu and confirm with the " button.

3. Select the d ialling pause r equired.

4. Confirm b y pressing the " but ton.

10.4 Tone or Pulse dialling m ode

This feature enables the telephone to be operated in analogue exchanges (PULSE) as well

as in a new, digital exchanges (DTMF/TONE). Tone dialling is set at the factory.

1. Press the Menu button

" and use the ( or ) button to select the BASE

menu. Confirm by pressing the " button.

2. Select the

DIALMODE menu and confirm with the " button.

3. Select the setting required, namely

TONE (DTMF) or PULSE.

4. Confirm b y pressing the

" button.

10.5 Changing the PIN code

The registration and deregistration of handsets are protected against unauthorised use by

a PIN code. The PIN code can contain up to eight digits. When delivered, the PIN code is

“0000”. Proceed as follows to change the PIN code:

1. Press the Menu button

" and use the ( or ) button to select the BASE

menu. Confirm by pressing the " button.

2. Select the

CHANGE PIN menu and confirm by pressing the " button.

3. Enter the base station PIN code (default setting:

0000).

Note: I f the o ld P IN code is entered incorrectly, t he pr ocess

is cancelled and the message

ERROR appears in the

display.

4. Confirm b y pressing the

" button.
