7 Caller Number Display (CLIP Function)
The caller number display feature enables you to see who i s calling when the call is
received. If this function is provided by your telephone service, the number of the caller
appears in the display when the telephone rings. If the caller’s number is stored in the
phone book, the name appear s in the display instead of the phone number.
If the caller has suppressed transmission of their phone number, t he message
WITHHELD
appears in the display . T he phone number is not displayed in t his case and, t herefore, not
stored in the calls list.
A total of 24 phone numbers can be stored in t he calls list so that you will not miss any
calls even if your are absent. As soon as the list i s full, the oldest phone number is delet ed
from the list. If new phone numbers have been stored in the calls list in your absence, the
h icon flashes in the display .
Caution: The caller number display function is an optional service offered by
telephone network providers. The caller number appears in the display if the
service is offered by your telephone network provider. The display of the date
andtimeisnottransferred by all telephone network providers. Contact your
network provider for further information. T ransfer of the phone number or the
date and t ime is not always possible either in some private branch exchanges.
7.1 Calls list
7.1.1 Selecting phone numbers from the calls list
Proceed as follows to view the phone numbers in the calls list in the display:
1. Press the
) button. The l ast number received
appears in the display . I f t he calls list is empty , the
message
EMPTY appears in the display.
2. Press the
( or ) but ton to view further phone numbers in the calls list.
Press the
" button as often a s necessary to call in the following information concerning
the entry in the calls list:
S Further digits to the right or left of the phone number are displayed.
S Indicates how often the respective caller has called.
S If the phone number is one already stored in the phone book with a name, the
name appears in the calls list and the associated phone number can be called
to the display.
S Displays the date and time if t his data was transferred from the caller.
3. Press the
( or ) buttontoreturntothecallslist.
4. To call a phone number directly from the calls list, simply press the Call button
!. The phone number is dialled immediately.
5. Press the
/ button for 2 seconds to exit from the calls list.
