De diepte van het decompressieplafond en decompressieondergrens zijn afhankelijk
van uw duikprofiel. Op het moment dat uw duik in een decompressieduik overgaat,
zal het decompressieplafond zal tamelijk hoog liggen. Als u langere tijd op diepte blijft,
komt het plafond echter steeds dieper te liggen en neemt de opstijgtijd toe. Op dezelfde
wijze komen de decompressieondergrens en het decompressieplafond tijdens de
decompressie steeds hoger te liggen.
Onder zware omstandigheden kan het moeilijk zijn om op een constante diepte nabij
de oppervlakte te blijven. Blijf in zo'n situatie iets onder het decompressieplafond om
te voorkomen dat u door de golven over het decompressieplafond wordt getild. Suunto
adviseert om decompressiestops altijd op een diepte onder de 4 meter te maken, zelfs
als het aangegeven decompressieplafond hoger ligt.
OPMERKING
Een decompressiestop onder het decompressieplafond kost u
meer tijd en lucht.
WAARSCHUWING
STIJG NOOIT OP TOT BOVEN HET
DECOMPRESSIEPLAFOND! U mag nooit opstijgen tot boven
het decompressieplafond. Om te voorkomen dat u dit per ongeluk
doet, is het raadzaam altijd iets onder het decompressieplafond
te blijven.
