1. INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE
Each installation is unique to the property so it is not possible
to give details to suit every setting. The installation must comply
with Building Regulations and be made using "best practice"
construction methods.
Many fireplace openings have a supporting lintel. Do not remove
without supporting the remaining structure of the building. Do not
support the structure with the appliance or the flue system.
1. INSTALLING THE BENCH
Take care not to scratch the hearth or bench when fixing an
appliance to it. Where possible use soft protection underneath.
When repositioning is required, lift the appliance - Do not slide to
avoid marking.
For more detailed advice on the installation of the bench refer to
the Stovax Bench installation manual PM205.
1.1 Position bench on your hearth and mark out the 2 key slots
on the floor.

1.2 Remove bench and drill the two marked positions with
Ø8mm hole to 50mm deep.

1.3 Tap in No.8 Rawl plugs.

1.4 Screw in No.8 coach bolt leaving 5mm gap from the surface
of the floor.

1.5 Slide the bench over the coach bolts in the hearth and
tighten to secure in place.
2. ASSEMBLING THE OUTER BOX
In order to secure the appliance to the bench, the Riva
Studio Bench kit has an extra outer box supplied. This comes
as a flat pack and must be assembled and the pieces secured
by the M6 bolts on the inside of the box, see Diagram 5.
