En las unidades equipadas con un con-
vertidor catalítico* hay que usar exclusi-
vamente la gasolina sin plomo y el
aceite STIHL para motores de dos
tiempos o un aceite equivalente en una
mezcla de 50:1 (vea el capitulo "Com-
bustible").
El convertidor catalítico instalado en el
silenciador reduce las emisiones noci-
vas presentes en el gas de escape.
El ajuste correcto del carburados (si es
ajustable) y el uso de la mezcla especi-
ficada de gasolina y aceite para motores
de dos tiempos son esenciales para
reducir al mínimo las emisiones nocivas
de gases de escapes y asegurar una
larga vida útil del convertidor catalítico.

La mezcla de combustible incorrecta
(demasiado aceite de motor en la gaso-
lina), el filtro de aire sucio y condiciones
de funcionamiento desfavorables (gene-
ralmente a media aceleración, etc.)
afectan la condición de la bujía. Estos
factores causan la formación de depósi-
tos en la punta del aislador lo que puede
dificultar el funcionamiento.
Si el motor tiene poca potencia, le
cuesta arrancar o funciona deficiente-
mente a velocidad de ralentí, primero
revise la bujía.
: Saque la bujía – vea „Arranque /
parada del motor“.
: Limpie la bujía sucia.
: Mida la separación entre electrodos
de la bujía (A). Vuelva a ajustar si es
necesario. Vea “Especificaciones”.
: Use únicamente bujías de tipo
resistencia de capacidad aprobada.
Corrija la causa de la suciedad de la
bujía:
: Demasiado aceite en la mezcla de
combustible.
: Filtro de aire sucio.
: Condiciones de funcionamiento
desfavorables, por ej., funciona-
miento a media aceleración.
Coloque una bujía nueva después de
100 horas de funcionamiento, aproxi-
madamente, o más temprano si nota
que los electrodos están muy desgasta-
dos.
