15 TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE REMEDY
1. The console does not come on.
When the main power switch
and the key switch are both
turned to “ON” the console re-
mains switched o.
Turn the key switch and the main
power switch to “OFF” and:
Battery not connected.
Check the battery connections.
Battery completely at. Recharge the at battery.
Fuse (20A) blown. Replace the fuse.
2. The starter motor does not turn.
With the key switch turned to
“ON” the display comes on
but when the “START/STOP
ENGINE” button is pressed the
starter motor does not turn.
Battery not charged enough. Recharge the at battery.
3. The starter motor turns but the
engine does not start.
With the key switch turned to
“ON” the display comes on
but when the “START/STOP
ENGINE” button is pressed the
starter motor turns but the en-
gine does not start.
Fuel cock closed. Open the fuel cock.
No fuel ow.
- Check the fuel level in the tank.
- Check the fuel lter.
Ignition fault.
- Check the spark plug cap is secu-
rely in place.
- Check the spark gap and that the
electrodes are clean.
4. The battery indicator and digits
flash.
When attempting to start the
machine, the machine does not
start, the “Battery” indicator and
the text on the digits starts to
ash indicating that the voltage
is lower than 12V.
Battery not charged enough. Charge the battery.
Recharging fuse (25A) blown. Replace the fuse.
Faulty battery. Replace the battery.
4.1 The battery indicator and digits
flash.
The “Battery” indicator and the
text on the digits start to ash
indicating a voltage over 12V.
The text on the digits indicates
a voltage over 12V; there is an
overvoltage.
Contact an authorised assistance
centre.
4.2 The battery indicator and digits
flash and then the engine dies.
The “Battery” indicator and the
text on the digits start to ash in-
dicating a voltage over 12V then
the machine turns itself o.
The battery has exceeded the over-
voltage threshold.
Contact an authorised assistance
centre.
5. The engine is running, the
“Battery” indicator and the text
on the digits flashes indicating a
voltage below 12V.
If the condition persists:
Charge fuse (25A) blown. Replace the fuse.
Faulty battery. Replace the battery.
Faulty battery charger. Contact an authorised assistance
centre.
