Adjusting screw left stop
position means: minimum
reach (approx. 1 m / factory
setting).
Adjusting screw right stop
positon means: maximum
reach (approx. 8 m).
(only for HF 360 AP)

The term reach denotes the
approximately circular
diameter that results as the
detection zone.

The desired sensor re-
sponse threshold can be
adjusted continuously from
approx. 2 lux to 2000 lux.
Adjusting screw right stop
position means: daylight
operation approx. 2000 lux
(factory setting).
2 - 2000 lux
Adjusting screw left stop
position means: night-time
operation approx. 2 lux.
When adjusting the detec-
tion zone and for the per-
formance test in daylight, the
adjusting screw must be set
to the RH stop position.

The desired duration of illu-
mination of the connected
light can be continuously
adjusted from approx.
10 sec. to max. 30 min.
Adjusting screw left stop pos-
ition means: shortest time
approx. 10 sec. (factory set-
ting)
Adjusting screw right stop
position means: longest
time approx. 30 min.
The timer is restarted by
any motion detected before
this time elapses.

10 sec. - 30 min.
The shortest time setting is
recommended when adjus-
ting the detection zone and
performing a functional test.
Note: After every off switch-
ing, further motion detection
is interrupted for approx.
2 seconds. Only after this
time elapses is it possible
for the Sensor Switch to
switch light again.

Installation
Note for IR 180 AP:
The installation position
should be at least 1 m from
a light, since heat radiation
may trigger the system.
Installation procedure:
1. Loosen housing screws
and open housing a,
then loosen sensor unit
c (screw) and remove
with the basic element
b.
2. Hold base of housing on
wall (with the inscription
TOP facing upwards)
and mark the drilling
holes.
3. Drill holes with a 6 mm
bit.
4. Insert dowels in the
holes.
5. Screw the base of the
housing in place with the
enclosed screws.
6. Strip the cable (approx.
70 mm) and remove
approx. 5 mm of insula-
tion from the flexible
ends.
7. Push through sealing
plugs and pass the ca-
ble through (the cable
sheath must be comple-
tely surrounded by the
sealing plug).
Connecting the supply
lead to the basic element
(refert to ill. on page 4):
The mains lead consists of
a 3 phase cable.
L = phase conductor (usu-
ally black or brown)
N = neutral conductor
(usually blue)
L = phase conductor (usu-
ally black or brown)
If in doubt, the cable must
be identified with a voltage
tester. Switch off the cur-
rent again. Phases (L) and
(L‘) in addition to the neu-
tral conductor (N) are con-
nected to the terminal
block. A protective-earth
conductor is not required.
Important: Reversing the
connections may result in
damage to the unit.
8. Insert basic element b
into the housing section
a (terminal connection
at bottom).
9. Carefully push on the
sensor module c (tak-
ing care not to jam) and
screw to the housing
base section.
10.After the mains connec-
tion has been made, the
sensor switch can be
operated (refer to func-
tions section).
11. Finally apply the design
shade d and screw in
place.
Note:
Parallel switching of
IR 180 AP and HF 360 AP
is possible. Nevertheless, a
neutral lead must be pres-
ent on each flush box. The
max. output to be switched
does not increase as a re-
sult.
