Generally

This appliance is for private use only and must not be used commercially. Please read

the instruction manual carefully and keep it at a safe place. When the appliance is

given to another person the instruction manual should be passed to that person, too.

Only use the appliance as described in the instruction manual and pay attention to

the safety information. No liability for damages or accidents will be accepted, which

are caused by not paying attention to the instruction manual.

Safety information:

Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with the specifications on ∙

the rating label.

Do not use if the power cord is damaged. This must be checked before each use. ∙

∙ This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)

with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities, or lack of experience

and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning

use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. ∙

The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or ∙

separate remote control system.

After each use or in the case of a malfunction the plug must be pulled out of the ∙

socket.

Never pull at the power cord. Do not chafe it over sharp edges or squeeze it. ∙

Keep the power cord away from hot parts. ∙

Never leave the appliance unattended when operating. ∙

Never store the appliance outdoors or in a damp area. ∙

Never immerse the appliance in water. ∙

Do not operate the appliance if it is damaged, e.g. it fell down, or it is damaged in ∙

any other way.

Repairs at the appliance, e,g, exchange of a damaged power cord, must only be ∙

done by authorized service persons, to avoid any dangers.

The appliance becomes hot. Do not move the appliance until it cooled down ∙

∙ Attention! Housing and glass get hot. Danger of burns!

Do not place the appliance on a sensitive surface (e.g. painted furniture) and

keep a distance of at least 70cm to burnable materials.

This Snack-Maker is especially suitable for big American Sandwich Toasts. In one Toast

event you can prepare up to 8 snacks at the same time. For an good toasting result,

don´t fill to much into the sandwiches.

Toasting Time:

You need about 5 min. The toast should be of a gentle golden colour at the outside

and both slices should be baked together. The Snacks are automatically precuted and

sealed. Therefore no stuffing can spill out.

Bread:

Use the big American- Sandwich Toasts. You can use also the normal toast slices.

Butter or Margarine

Basically, all toast slices should be buttered a little bit at the outside. For a special fla-

vour you can use special kinds of butter (e.g. garlic butter) or use one of the following

homemade butter specialities.

Preparing of Snackvariations:

unwind the cable ∙

plug in the device according to the rating label instructions ∙

when heating up for the first time, there can be little smoke from the device. After ∙

some minutes the smoke disappears

Heat up the device with closed lid untill the orange light occurs. You gained the ∙

optimal Snack temperature.

Put the ingredients according to the proposals in the device and close the lid. The ∙

front clamp must close clearly, too.

The orange light shows, that the device is ready to snack. During the grilling- ∙

time(about 5min), the orange light can get on or off. The thermostat is working.

When the snack is ready, only remove it with an wodden or plastic spatula, to pre- ∙

vent the coating from damages.

To avoid loosing temperature, please close the lid. ∙

When the orange light is on, the device is ready for the next snack. ∙

∙ Attention: Steam can escape from the toasts between the two plates.

Danger of burns!

Cleaning and maintenance:

Take care that the power plug is pulled out of the socket and cool the appliance ∙

down until it is cleaned.

Never splatter water on the glass door as long as it is hot. ∙

Clean the door, the metal parts and the surface with soap water. Dry everything ∙

completely.

Never use steel wool or similar, acid cleaner, scratching appliances for cleaning. ∙

The inner cavity is coated with a self cleaning material. The appliance must be hea- ∙

ted up without food in the baking program to 250°C for 20min to activate it.
