In the default setting, Channel 16 is set as the priority channel. You may change
the priority channel to the desired channel from the Channel 16 by the Radio
Setup Mode, refer to section “12.7 PRIORITY CHANNEL SET.”
1. Set the squelch level to the “squelch threshold” (the background noise is
turns off).
2. Select a desired channel to be scanned using the
[

press and hold the

key on the RAM+ mic., or press the

followed by the

key on the VH-310 Handset. “MEM” will appear
on the LCD which indicates the channel has been programmed into the

3. Repeat step 2 for all the desired channels to be scanned.

the VH-310 Handset (“P-SCAN” appears on the LCD). Scan-
ning will proceed between the memorized channels and the
priority channel. CH 16 the priority channel will be scanned
after each programmed channel.
6. To stop scanning, press the

, or PTT key.
You may change the scan resume time by the Radio Setup Mode, refer to
section “12.9 SCAN RESUME TIME.”
