112 Introducción
Requisitos de software
Para acceder a los datos de los discos CD-R OM, debe haber
instalado el contr olador de dispositiv o y MSCDEX (pr opor cionado
con el adaptador de host) apropiados en el ordenador si su sistema
operativ o es MS-DOS y Windo ws 3.1. Consulte el man ual que se
adjunta con el adaptador de host si desea información detallada.
El software de aplicación que necesita para utilizar los datos de un
disco CD-R OM depende del tipo y f ormato de los datos de destino.
Consulte el man ual suministrado con el disco CD-R OM para obtener
indicaciones.
Ejemplo de configuración del sistema
P ara poder utilizar la unidad de CD-R OM se requieren los
componentes siguientes:
• Ordenador (IBM PC, PC/XT, PC/AT, HP Vectra o equivalente)
• Adaptador de host IDE (compatible con ATA)
• Unidad de disquete
• Cable de interfaz IDE (cable plano de 40 ≤ 40 pins)
• Software (controlador del dispositivo, utilidades)
