Introducción
Características
La CDU701 es una unidad de CD-R OM (disco compacto de
memoria de sólo lectura) interna diseñada para ser utilizada con
or denadores IBM PC, HP Vectra u otr os or denadores compatib les.
Puede leer hasta 650 MB de datos digitales almacenados en un sólo
disco CD-R OM.
La CDU701 presenta las siguientes características:
General
• Unidad de media altura con las dimensiones de una unidad de 5

pulgadas.
• Memoria de búfer de 128 KB compatible con ATAPI (SFF-8020)
• Carga de disco en bandeja como CD de audio sin utilizar caddy.
• Carga y expulsión de potencia de un disco. Asimismo, es posible
extraer el disco manualmente.
• Protegido por una cubierta totalmente hermética.
Formatos de disco admitidos
• Lee datos de los formatos de disco CD-ROM, CD-ROM XA, CD-
I y CD-I Ready, así como de discos CD-EXTRA y CD TEXT.
• Lee datos de los formatos de disco CD-BRIDGE, incluido
PHOTO-CD.
• Lee discos codificados CD de audio digital estándares.
• Lee discos de CD de vídeo.
Rendimiento
• Admite operaciones a velocidades de 4 ×, 8 × y hasta un máximo de
32 × con corrección de error en tiempo real.
• Tiempo de acceso rápido garantizando un acceso a los datos fiable
y a elevada velocidad.
Sonido
• Produce datos de sonido digital a 16 bits mediante la interfaz
ATA.
• Equipado con salida de línea de sonido y con conexión para
auriculares para la reproducción de CD de audio.
Nota:
La CDU701 no viene equipada con un sistema de cir cuitos ADPCM
necesario para admitir modos de sonido compatib les con CD-R OM
XA y CD-I. Asimismo, la unidad no dispone de la función de
descodificación de gráficos CD-I y es el sistema el encar gado de
proporcionarla.
