Working with the mixer
CAUTION: When processing solid food, do not run the mixer for more than 60 seconds at a time.
1. Add the ingredients to the mixing jug
Important note: Pre-cooked ingredients should cool down before being processed. Liquid ingredients
should be added first if possible. Cut solid ingredients into pieces of about 2 cm in size before adding. Do not
overfill the mixing jug, otherwise the contents could spill over or splash, and the motor could stall.
CAUTION: If you process hot ingredients, please take care not to burn yourself on the mixing jug or lid, or to
scald yourself with steam or splashing liquids. If necessary, place a kitchen cloth over the lid to protect
yourself from splashes or steam.
2. Place the lid on the jug and press it down firmly. Close the center opening in the lid with the transparent
measuring beaker.The measuring beaker has two small guide tongues on both sides, which fit into slots in
the lid. Press the measuring beaker down completely and lock it by turning it clockwise.
3. Hold the lid with one hand and switch on
the appliance with the On/Off switch. (See Fig. 4)
Select the required speed 1 or 2. The motor will
now run.
CAUTION: If the motor stalls inadvertently or runs
unusually slowly, then switch immediately to “0”;
OFF. Otherwise the motor could overheat.
Follow the instructions on pages 45 / 46
(Faultfinding help).
Note: Use the PULSE button for crushing ice or
hard butter. Only press the button for a short pulse
each time, and if necessary repeat.
4. After a few seconds switch to “0” (middle position;
OFF), to switch the appliance OFF.
