off the machine using the ON/OFF button. All lights will turn off.

of the steam / hot water outlet during and after the steam function. You could scald
yourself!

SETTINGS FOR AUTOMATIC COFFEE
BREWING
To change the amount of coffee brewed in automatic mode proceed as fol-
lowing:
Prepare everything normally in order to start the brewing process.
Once the machine has reached its operating temperature (all 4 buttons light up
blue) press the automatic mode button
and keep it pressed until the desired
amount of coffee has been brewed. If you let go off the button the new brew
time is saved. You can set a brew time between 10 and 60 seconds, 25 seconds
being the standard setting. Tip: We recommend a brew time between 25 and
30 seconds.

HEAT WATER OR BEVERAGES USING
THE STEAM FUNCTION
You can also use the steam function and the steam / hot water outlet to heat water
or beverages (e. g. hot chocolate).
Proceed as following:
Fill the water tank with fresh water. The MAX marking should not be exceeded.
The container you are using to heat beverages should ideally be made from
stainless steel and around 70 mm tall (+/− 5mm) to avoid steam or hot water
splashing outside the container. Fill the container up to 50% with the beverage
you intend to heat.
Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the machine.
As soon as the machine is turned on using this button all the buttonframes light
up blue for one second while the machine is pumping water. Afterwards the ON/
OFF button and steam mode button stay lit, while the buttonframes of ”automatic
mode“ and ”manual mode“ keep blinking as long as the machine is preheating.
When the correct temperature is reached these buttons will also constantly light
up blue. The machine is now ready for use and you can use the steam function.
Press the steam mode button. The button starts blinking blue and the lights of
the 2 coffee buttons will turn off while the machine is preheating for the steam
function. The steam function is ready to use as soon as the steam mode button
lights up constantly.
Once the blue buttonframe of the steam mode button is lit up steadily, lower the
steam / hot water outlet with the thermo-insulated rubber grip to position it over
the holes in the drip tray.
Now turn the steam / hot water control counterclockwise to the left to the maxi-
mum position. Let hot steam shoot from the steam / hot water outlet into the drip
tray for approx. 10 seconds to clean out the steam / hot water outlet and remove
remaining water.
Turn off the steam / hot water control again (clockwise, until off-position).
Lower the steam / hot water outlet into the beverage you intend to heat and turn
the steam / hot water control counterclockwise into the maximum position.
As soon as your beverage has reached the desired temperature, turn off the
steam / hot water control again and remove the container.
Lower the steam / hot water outlet back down over the holes in the drip
tray with the heat insulated rubber grip, return the control to the maximum
steam position and let some steam escape into the drip tray to flush re-
mains out of the steam / hot water outlet. Turn the steam / hot water control
off again. Then wipe the steam / hot water outlet clean with a damp cloth.
CAUTION: The steam / hot water outlet is hot!
