Filling the water tank with water
Switch the appliance off with the ON/OFF button. Carefully remove the water
tank by its handle and lift it up. Turn the water tank upside down, open the tank
lid and fill the water tank with fresh tap water. After that, close the water tank
with the lid and place the tank back in the appliance.
CLEAN MAT DISPLAY
1. As soon as the Clean Mat warning light illuminates, you have to switch the
appliance off, pull the power plug and remove and clean the humidification mat.
2. Remove the water tank after switching the appliance off and unplugging it.
3. Carefully pull the water tub out of the appliance base, making sure not to spill
any water.
4. Take the humidification mat out of the zig-zag mounting.
5. For one hour, place the humidification mat in a 1:1 solution of water and white
vinegar. After that, rinse the humidification mat with clear water. Never clean
the humidification mat with a descaling agent.
6. After the vinegar has been washed out, place the humidification mat back in the
mounting and place the mounting in the water tub. The markings in the bottom
of the water tub indicate precisely how the mounting has to be positioned.

Before starting to use the appliance again, you have to perform a Reset to make
the Clean Mat warning light go out. To do that, press and hold the ON/OFF
button and the Screen Off button simultaneously for at least 3 seconds until
the warning light goes out.
8. You can now use the appliance as usual.

Automatic start-up
If the air humidifier is plugged in but has not been switched on with the
ON/OFF button, you can use the Timer button to set the number of hours after
which you want the appliance to switch on. Press the button until the desired
number of hours lights up in the display – you can make any setting between
1 and 12 hours at intervals of one hour. After the last press of the button, the
set number of hours flashes for three seconds, then the appliance switches
back to displaying the current room air humidity. However, the letter “h” is
also displayed at the end to indicate that the Timer is activated. Also: You can
press the other function buttons in automatic start-up mode to make individual
adjustments to the ventilation speed and the room air humidity you desire.
Once the set number of hours has elapsed, the appliance switches on auto-
matically. The “h” in the display goes out.
Automatic shutdown
If the air humidifier is plugged in and has been switched on with the ON/OFF
button, you can use the Timer button to set the number of hours you want the
appliance to be activated before automatically switching off. Press the button
until the desired number of hours lights up in the display – you can make any
setting between 1 and 12 hours at intervals of one hour. After the last press of
the button, the set number of hours flashes for three seconds, then the appli-
ance goes back to displaying the current room air humidity value. However, the
letter “h” is also displayed at the end to indicate, that the Timer is activated.
Also: Of course, you can use the other function buttons to make individual
settings as well.
If the desired humidification time resp. the set number of hours has elapsed, the
appliance switches off without a sound signal.
SCREEN OFF BUTTON FOR DEACTIVATING THE DISPLAY
RESP. FUNCTION LIGHTS
You can use the Screen Off button to switch the control panel backlight off
completely. This is ideal if you want to use the appliance by night. If you press
the button again, the current room air humidity lights up again in the display.
The active function displays light up as well.
WATER EMPTY DISPLAY
Once you switch the appliance on, the air humidifier makes sure that there is
enough water in the water tub. If this is not the case, it automatically switches
to the protective Water Empty function. This is also the case, if the appliance
runs dry during use, the appliance switches off in such a case.
The warning light next to Water Empty lights up as long as there is no water.
Only the ON/OFF button can be operated in the protective Water Empty function.
