Carne, peixe, etc. cortados em bocados pequenos ficam mais bem cozinha-
dos e mais depressa do que em bocados grandes.
Recomendamos a utilização de carne tenra no grelhador. Se a carne que
pretende cozinhar for rija, aconselhamos a que a deixe a marinar (por ex.,
em leite), durante a noite anterior.
As frutas como o ananás e a papaia possuem uma enzima que quebra as
proteínas, o que faz com que a carne fique mais tenra.
Evite espetar a carne, para que não resseque. Utilize pinças quando quiser
movê-la.
Tente virar os alimentos apenas uma vez, visto que, se o fizer com mais
frequência, provoca o ressequimento dos alimentos.
Quando virar o peixe, utilize uma espátula plana e larga.
Pode utilizar o grelhador como bandeja, levando-o à mesa para manter a
comida quente, mas, para isso, deve retirar o cabo de ligação à rede eléc-
trica.
