11. Adjust Brightness
You can adjust the brightness of the TFT LCD full colour graphical display to accommodate different driving
conditions.
To adjust the brightness of the display
Press the ‘OK’ control when the ‘Adjust Brightness’
is displayed in the menu options.
To increase the brightness push to ‘OK’ control
upwards; to decrease the brightness push the
‘OK’ control downwards.
Press the ‘OK’ control to save the new setting.
The unit will display ‘Setting Confirmed’
12. Schools
The Snooper Sapphire allows you the option of choosing whether or not you would like to receive advanced
warnings of Primary Schools (Schools are time sensitive on the Sapphire – 08:30-09:30am, 12:00-13:00 and
15:30 to 16:30). This feature is switched ‘ON’ by default. However if you wish to turn this alert off (at weekends
for example) you can do this by using this facility.
Note: The unit can only alert you to Primary Schools if you have selected to download ‘UK Schools’ on
the download software. The unit will alert to schools at the times specified above every day.
To turn School alerts ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’
Press the ‘OK’ control when ‘Schools’ is displayed
in the menu options.
Highlight your desired option (‘ON’ or ‘OFF’) by
pushing the ‘OK’ control upwards or downwards.
Once you have highlighted your desired setting
press the ‘OK’ control. The unit will display
‘Setting Confirmed’ indicating the new setting has
been saved.
13. High Risk Zones
The Snooper Sapphire allows you the option of choosing whether or not you would like to receive advanced
warnings of areas such as Accident Black spots that may not currently have Fixed Speed Safety Cameras
installed near them but which are still considered as High Risk Zones. This option is switched ‘ON’ by default
and locations are downloaded as part of the UK camera database.
To turn High Risk Zone alerts ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’
Press the ‘OK’ control when ‘High Risk Zones’ is
displayed in the menu options.
Highlight your desired option (‘ON’ or ‘OFF’) by
pushing the ‘OK’ control upwards or downwards.
Once you have highlighted your desired setting
press the ‘OK’ control. The unit will display
‘Setting Confirmed’ indicating the new setting has
been saved.
14. Satellite Status
The Snooper Sapphire comes with a facility to check the GPS status.
To view the information:
Press the ‘OK’ control when ‘Satellite Status’ is displayed in the menu options.
