Affix Applique Piece To Base Fabric
Gluing Technique:
Apply small drops of fabric glue to back of applique piece taking care to not get glue
close to edge. Glue applique piece in place on base fabric aligning applique with
outline stitching on base fabric.
Iron-on Technique:
Peel paper backing off back of applique piece. Place applique piece on base fabric
aligning piece on outline stitching of applique. Using (an iron small enough to fit
inside embroidery frame) secure applique piece in place by ironing for 3 to 5
seconds.
Sew Applique Piece To Base Fabric
Attach embroidery frame to machine, install proper thread color, and continue
sewing until applique motif is completed.

Prepare Applique Piece
Affix fusible interfacing to wrong side of
applique fabric (for gluing technique).
or
Affix iron-on adhesive to wrong side of
applique fabric (for iron-on technique).
Install applique fabric into embroidery
frame and attach to machine.
Press or then select applique
pattern for your design.
Note: Check figure 1 of these instructions
for correct number(s) of apprique pattern.
Sew applique pattern, remove applique
fabric and cutout applique shape along
outline stitch.

Prepare Base Fabric
Affix fusible interfacing to wrong side of
fabric. Install base fabric into embroi-
dery frame and attach to machine.
Sew steps until outline of applique pattern
is sewn.
Remove embroidery frame from ma-
chine keeping base fabric installed in
frame.
