How to Remove and Insert Needles
Removing needle.
* Checking needle
Attaching needle. (Needle cannot be
inserted unless it is correctly positioned.)
With a good needle, a
uniform clearance will be
provided between needle
shank and flat plane of
board over length.
Do not use a needle that has
a bent or blunt point.
(1) Lift needle to its upper end.
(2) Loosen needle clamp screw.
Press needle against
stopper pin with its flat part
faced away from you. Tighten needle clamp
screw.
