Forberedelse af ingredienserne
Påfyld maks. 5,5 liter ingredienser inkl. væske. Det er ca. 2,5 cm afstand fra
ingredienserne til keramikskålens øvre kant. Ved tilberedning af meget
flydende mad, f.eks. supper eller sammenkogte retter, bør du påfylde maks.
4 liter ingredienser inkl. væske for at forhindre, at maden flyder over. Det
svarer til en afstand på ca. 5 cm fra ingredienserne til keramikskålens
øvre kant.
Ingredienserne skal mindst indeholde ca. 300 ml væske. Vær opmærksom
på, at meget tørre og meget vandige ingredienser kan kræve mindre væske.
Dybfrosne fødevarer skal tøs helt op inden brug.
Skær ingredienserne i mindre, ensartede stykker for at forkorte tilberednings-
tiden. Jo større stykkerne er, jo længere tilberedningstid.
For at give kød en kraftigere smag kan det med fordel brunes på en pande
eller i en gryde, inden det lægges i keramikskålen . Det har den fordel,
at kødets fedtindhold, og dermed rettens fedtindhold, reduceres, hvis du
undlader at hælde stegefedtet i keramikskålen sammen med kødet.
Hvis du vil forkoge eller forstege ingredienser, skal du bruge en separat
gryde eller pande. Det er ikke muligt at forkoge eller forstege i dette produkt.
Hvis du fjerner overskydende fedt fra kødet, skal du ikke forkoge det, da
kødet ikke koger tørt under den skånsomme kogning.
Rå, røde bønner indeholder giftstoffer, som kun kan neutraliseres ved høje
temperaturer. Tilberedning i dette produkt er ikke tilstrækkeligt! Kog derfor
røde bønner i kogende vand i mindst 10 minutter, før du bruger dem.
Lad tørrede bælgfrugter med skal ligge i blød natten over og smid vandet
væk. Brug frisk vand til tilberedningen.
