Tips voor het melkschuim
■ In principe kan iedere soort melk opgeschuimd worden, ook soja- en
rijstmelk. Sommige soorten melk kunnen echter alleen met beperkingen
opgeschuimd worden.
■ Magere melk brandt niet zo gemakkelijk aan als volle melk, maar bij een
te laag vetgehalte bestaat wel het risico dat de melk zich niet goed laat op-
schuimen. Gebruik daarom liefst melk met een vetgehalte van 3,5% of 1,5%.
■ Goed gekoelde melk kan beter opgeschuimd worden dan minder koude.
De beste resultaten bereikt u bij een temperatuur van ca. 7 °C.
■ Schuim de melk niet een tweede keer op, omdat de melk dan aanbrandt.
■ Laat de opgeschuimde melk ca. 30 seconden lang staan, voordat u het schuim
op de espresso doet. Zo spatten grotere bellen uiteen en nog vloeibare melk
zakt omlaag. U kunt dan het fijne schuim op de espresso doen.
Heet water tappen
U kunt met behulp van de melkschuimer 0 ook heet water tappen om bijvoor-
beeld koffie te verdunnen (voor een “café americano”) of om thee te zetten.
1) Zet het apparaat aan met de aan-/uitknop 1. Het rode indicatielampje z
brandt. Het indicatielampje “Espresso” t knippert wit.Vergewis u ervan dat
de stoomregelaar 7 tot aan de aanslag op

gedraaid is.
Wacht tot de wijzer van de temperatuurindicatie 2 ongeveer in het midden
tussen 80°C en “ ” staat en het indicatielampje “Espresso” t continu
brandt.
2) Plaats een hittebestendige beker onder de melkschuimer 0.
3) Draai de stoomregelaar 7 minstens tot de helft in de richting van “ ”.
4) Druk twee keer op de toets “Stoom“ 4. Er loopt heet water uit de
melkschuimer 0.
5) Druk opnieuw op de knop “Stoom“ 4 om het tappen van heet water te
stoppen.
6) Draai de stoomregelaar 7 dicht (tot aan de aanslag in de richting van
“ ”
draaien).
