Caution!
Do not rest any barbecue utensils on the
ceramic plate. This could lead to
damage.
Do not use any acidic or sugared
seasoning (mixtures that contain vinegar
or sugar) as acid and sugar may
damage the grill plate 3. Should these
substances come into contact with the
grill plate nonetheless, remove residues
immediately before they begin to cool
using a ceramic-hob scraper.
You can use metal barbecue utensils.
Never use plastic barbecue utensils or
plastic knives. These could melt and
damage the grill plate 3.
1. Turn the temperature control 6 to the
required temperature:
"LO" to "2": Low temperature for
keeping food warm.
"3" to "5": Medium temperature for
cooking fish fillets, poultry and other
grilled food.
– "6" to "HI": Maximum temperature for
slices of meat, poultry or searing.
The indicator lamp 5 lights up and the
grill plate 3 heats up.
When the correct temperature has been
reached, the indicator lamp 5 goes out.
If the temperature of the grill plate 3 falls
below the selected value, the heater
switches on again.
Warning! Risk of burning:
The grill plate 3 gets very hot –
do not touch!
Marinated or moist meat should
be dabbed off before grilling as
the liquid may lead to spraying
fat.
Caution!

2. Put the food to be cooked onto the grill
plate 3. The food to be grilled should
not hang over the white line of the grill
plate 3.
3. Turn the food to be grilled after a while.
Note If necessary, you can remove
food residue now and again using a
ceramic-hob scraper.
4. When the food is cooked, remove it from
the grill plate 3.
5. To switch off the appliance, turn the tem-
perature control 6 to "OFF" when you
have finished grilling.
6. Remove the mains plug.
7. Clean the appliance (see “6. Cleaning”
on page 51).
