˿ Noise suppression

Noise suppression can be used during AM recep-
tion or during recording. Some AM broadcasting
stations and the cassette recorder can experience
interference such as noise. Use BEAT CUT

reduce such interference in three stages (position
1, 2 and 3).
˿ Headphones
[ » PHONES « ]
The headphone connection
o
can accommodate
stereo headphones (8-32 Ohm) with a 3.5 jack
plug. As soon as the headphones are con-
nected the loudspeakers are switched off. Please
observe that excessive volume may severely
damage your hearing.
˿ Setting the clock
The time can only be set if the system is in stand-
by mode (see „Switching on and off“, page 10).
Note: Each of the following steps has a 5-second
window during which to be performed. Otherwise,
the process is aborted.
1. Hold MEMORY/PROG
{
for approx. 2 sec-
onds. The hour mode flashes.
2. Press F-SKIP
I
or R-SKIP
U
to set 24-hour
or 12-hour mode.
3. Press MEMORY/PROG again – HOUR flashes.
4. Set the hours with F-SKIP or R-SKIP.
5. Press MEMORY/PROG again– MINUTES
flashes.
6. Set the minutes using F-SKIP or R-SKIP.
7. Press MEMORY/PROG again – the display
stops flashing, the clock is set and activated
(the „colon“ is flashing).
˿ Setting the alarm
[ » TIMER « ]
Set the alarm function of your designer system to
wake you at the requested time. Determine the
time at which the system shall switch itself on
and off again. Also, select the sound source and
the volume.
The alarm function can only be activated via
remote control.
Note: Each of the following steps has a 5-second
window during which to be performed. Otherwise,
the process is aborted.
1. Hold TIMER

7. Press TIMER again – the minutes display for
the alarm-off time flashes.
8. Use F-SKIP or R-SKIP to set the minutes.
