6. Getting started
6.1 Preparation
DANGER! Before starting, make sure you are familiar with all the safety
instructions listed in Chapter 2 “Safety instructions”.
DANGER! Hot surfaces! The grill gets very hot when in use.
When grilling, always wear heat-resistant gloves in accordance with the PPE Ordinance (category II for heat protection, DIN-
EN 407). Use suitable tools for turning the food on the grill, e.g. barbecue tongs, in order to prevent burns. There is a risk of
getting burnt.
Keep away from steam coming out of the grill!
The grill remains hot for a long time after being switched off. There is a risk of getting burnt!
Inform other users about the necessary measures.
6.2 Pre-heating
The heating can be switched off at any time by pressing and holding the adjuster knob (2).
Insert the grill tray (11) at the top level to have it heated faster.
Insert the mains plug into a socket.
Switch the grill on at the main switch (7).
After a short time, 2 beeps will sound.
If the grill is not used for an extended period and the main switch (7) is switched on, it automatically switches to standby mode.
This is indicated by an illuminated dot on the left-hand display (1). Pressing the adjuster knob (2) once switches the grill back on.
The display (1) on the left shows the maximum temperature of 800 °C and the display (3) on the right shows the timer setting of 20:00
minutes. If you have adjusted these values previously, they will be shown when you switch the device back on.
You now have the following options:
1. Grilling on a timer at a preset temperature.
Press the adjuster knob (2) to start the grilling process at the default settings. A beep sounds.
The grill now heats up and the displays (1, 3) show the temperature and the remaining time.
The pre-heating process can be cancelled at any time. Press and hold the adjuster knob (2) for approx. 2 seconds. In order to restart
the pre-heating process, press the adjuster knob (2) and proceed as described above.
When the temperature reaches approx. 100 °C, the fans (4) on the back of the grill are switched on to cool the casing.
Once the target temperature is reached, a beep sounds and the grill is ready to use.
2. Changing the temperature and timer settings.
First, twist the adjuster knob (2) to adjust the grill to the temperature you want between 800 °C and 200 °C. “C” flashes on the display
(1) during the setting process. Confirm your selection by pressing the adjuster knob (2). A beep sounds.
Now, twist the adjuster knob (2) to adjust the grill to the time you want between 1:00 and 30:00 minutes. “: flashes on the display (3)
during the setting process. Confirm your selection by pressing the adjuster knob (2). A beep sounds.
The grill now heats up and the displays (1, 3) show the temperature and the remaining time.
