10. Timer
This function enables time-delayed baking. Use the timer buttons to set the end of the
programme up to a maximum of 15 hours in the future.
DANGER! Use the timer function solely for recipes that you have already tried out. This
ensures that the ingredients and quantities are in the right proportion and the desired
baking result is achieved. In particular, you must ensure that there is not too much dough
and that it does not spill over. It poses a fire hazard!
The timer function is not available for programmes 9, 11, 13, 14 or 15.
For programmes 9, 13 and 15, pressing the timer buttons causes the selected
programme function to be extended or shortened. The programme time cannot be
changed for programmes 11 or 14.
When using the timer function, pay particular attention to the selection of ingredients. Do
not use this function if you want to process easily perishable ingredients such as milk,
eggs or cream.
Proceed as follows:
• Select a programme. The display indicates the baking time.
• By pressing the timer button , you can defer the end of the baking programme. When
you first press the timer button , the end of the programme is deferred for the next full 10
minutes, and each additional pressing results in a further 10-minute deferral. You can also keep
the timer button pressed to speed up the progress of the numbers.
The display indicates the total time consisting of baking time and deferral time.
• By pressing the timer button , you can shorten the set deferral time by 10-minute intervals.
• Confirm the timer setting by pressing the start/stop button . The power LED lights up and
the set time starts to run.
• When the start time of the programme is reached, the display informs you of the currently
active programme step .
• The end of the baking process is indicated by 10 beeps.
The display indicates 0:00.
Example of programming the timer:
It is 12.00 noon and you would really like to have fresh bread at 7.00 p.m., thus 7
hours later. First, select the appropriate programme and then increase the time that is
indicated on the display by pressing the timer button to 7:00. Schedule a
cooling down period with the timer setting so that you can enjoy the freshly baked
bread at the desired time.
