Moving a used Settings folder
If the Settings folder for a preconfigured OpenScape Personal Edition is modified,
the following files must be moved from the old to the new Settings folder:
All files
All _* folders (with names that start with an underscore).
All other folders remain at their original location and must not be removed.
Starting the Settings Folder Tool program
Proceed as follows to start the tool:
•Start - Run: select the tool and click OK.
or start OpenScape Personal Edition (via the desktop link or the Programs
menu) by pressing the i key (or the Ì key).
Operation and notes
To create a different folder to the default setting for storing the user and profile
settings, activate Change default config folder. You can select the relevant
entry under Config folder. You cannot specify this entry manually. The ...
browse button must be used for this.
To create a different folder to the default setting for storing user call list
entries, activate Change default data folder. You can select the relevant
entry under Data folder. You cannot specify this entry manually. The ...
browse button must be used.
To create a different folder to the default setting for storing script entries,
activate Change default data folder. You can select the relevant entry under
Script Folder. You cannot specify this entry manually. The ... browse button
must be used.
Confirm your entries with OK. The program is then closed. From this point on,
the relevant information is administered and stored in the folders set.
Using system variables in the defined Settings folder
System variables can basically be used by specifying the Settings folder. You
cannot then use the Settings Folder Tool to modify the Settings folder. Instead,
you must edit the entry manually in the relevant configuration file.
