3.13.11 Network Access Settings
Network access settings must be entered if call number normalization is active.
Network access settings (location information) are needed for setting up a direct
connection to telephone numbers from OpenScape Desktop Client directories or
call lists. These settings are also used for converting call numbers into
international dialable format. If these settings are not configured properly, you
may encounter problems when setting up connections. Network access settings
are not needed if call number normalization is not active.
For more information on call number normalization, see the section "Settings for
Address Conversion".
Select the entry Advanced - SIP Service Provider - Network access to
configure network access settings.
Enter the code for the international prefix for the location under Country
code. Omit the leading zero when entering the area code.
Enter the system identification number for the communication system
connected. This system ID number identifies internal call numbers in the
directories that only set up internal connections when selected.
Under Trunk code, enter the code configured with the connected Provider for
network access.
Under Prefix for local calls/Long-distance calls/International calls, enter
the network operator code for the type of call concerned. This data is
independent of the configuration for the connected connection system and is
determined by the network operator. The example shows the prefix numbers
for the network operator in Germany. Other prefixes may apply in other
countries.
Under Prefix for local calls/Long-distance calls/International calls, enter
any additional digits to be used as call-by-call prefixes. This data is
independent of the configuration on the connected communication system.
The sequence of the various codes is as follows:
Trunk code + Additional code + Prefix + Call number
3.13.12 Settings for Address Conversion
Select Advanced - SIP Service Provider - Address conversion in the Settings
dialog.
Activate the option Normalize call numbers if you want OpenScape UC
Application V3 to normalize call numbers on the basis of information from the
network access settings (cf. Network Access Settings).
