Advanced Tab Settings - SIP Service Provider
A31003-S5030-U100-4-7619, March 2009
56 OpenScape UC Application V3 Personal Edition, Installation and User Guide
If the option Delete DNS SRV / port specification in ROUTE headers is
active, a DNS server can be used to search the gateway settings. In this
case, enter the domain name of the gateway server under Server.
Alternatively, the ports can be removed from the route header. This is
necessary, for example, in the case of ACME/Session Border Controller
configuration. To do this, enter the IP address of the gateway under
Server.
You can select Use Default Port (depending on the transport type
selected) or Use Custom Port for the connection to the gateway server,
in which case the custom port number is entered under Port.
Note: The necessary details can be obtained from the system
administrator.
3.13.10 Settings for the Fallback System
If you are operating the OpenScape Desktop Client at a communication system
with a fallback system, then the OpenScape Desktop Client will automatically
switch over to the fallback communication system if the main communication
system fails. Select the entry Advanced - SIP Service Provider - Fallback
system to define the parameters for the fallback system.
Enter the IP address or server name of the fallback system server under
Server.
Select the transport type for the transport protocol in the Transport type field.
The options available are UDP, TCP, and TLS.
Time-To-Live is an SIP-specific time specification. Do not change the preset
default value.
Set the port number for the server connection under Connection. You can
select Use Default Port (depending on the transport type selected) or Use
Custom Port for the connection to the proxy server, in which case the custom
port number is entered under Port.
Activate the option Use Outbound Domain under Outbound Domain if the
SIP URI selected is not complete but you want to conduct an outbound call.
If this option is active, the outbound domain name configured is used for
outbound connections.
