Using the Message Service
Setting Cell Info
Cell info is the message information that operators send
to subscribers in certain areas. When you receive cell
info, the message (network info) is displayed on the
standby screen.
Enabling/Disabling Cell Info
1 Press B.
The main menu appears.
2 Press a, b, c or d to highlight “Messages”
and press B.
The “Messages” menu appears.
3 Press a or b to highlight “Cell info” and press
B.
The “Cell info” menu appears.
4 Press a or b to highlight “On” or “Off” and
press B.
Browsing the WAP Alerts
WAP Alerts are web based messages sent from a service
provider to subscribers. You can view the messages in
the “WAP Alerts” menu.
1 At the main menu, select in the following order:
“Messages” → “WAP Alerts.”
The “WAP Alerts” list appears.
2 Press a or b to highlight a message and press
B.
This function may not be available on all phone
networks. Contact your service provider for more
information.
If cell info is set to “On,” the standby time will
decrease because of increase in battery usage.
