well away from children – these materials
are a potential source of danger, e.g. of
suffocation.
Every time the appliance is used, the
main body including the power cord as
well as any attachment tted should
be checked thoroughly for any defects.

even invisible damage may have adverse
effects on the operational safety of the
appliance.

for the appliance to cool down. Only after
this cooling-down period can the cooker be
used again.
Please note: this cooker is suitable for
heating up liquids only. If viscous foods
are heated, there is a possibility that the
safety cut-out may be triggered as a result
of uneven heat absorption. We will not,
therefore, accept responsibility for any
damage resulting from such inappropriate
use, or from non-compliance with these
instructions in general.
Before using for the rst time
Before the cooker is used for the rst
time, the lid, the inside of the container
and the grid insert should be cleaned with
a moist cloth.
The heating area has a special PTFE
(PolyTetraFluoroEthylene) coating, a
synthetic material with a certain surface
tension when new. To prevent the safety
cut-out from being activated prematurely,
this surface tension must be reduced
before normal use by taking the following
steps:
Fill the container with 3 litres of
water before it is used for the rst
