Controlling the volume
Press the " " key or the " " key to turn up or down the volume.
Sleep timer for the radio
With the radio switched on, hold down the " " key for approx. 3 seconds. Now briefly press the " " key to select 15, 30,
45, 60 or OFF. If you select 15, 30, 45 or 60, the radio will automatically be switched off after 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. If you select
"OFF", the radio is on until it is manually switched off.
6.6 Use as a lamp
The sunrise alarm clock can also be used as a lamp. Briefly press the " " key to switch on and off the "normal" light.
Controlling the light intensity of the "normal" light
Press the " " key or the " " key to increase or decrease light intensity.
Night light
The sunrise alarm clock also offers a night light in different colours. In order to switch on the night light, the "normal" light must be
switched off first.
By (repeatedly) pressing the "
" key, you can select the night light in the following colours and in the following sequence: red (C1)
orange (C2) yellow (C3) light green (C4) green (C5) blue (C6) violet (C7) automatic change of all night light colours
(C8) mood lighting (C9) and then starting again with the first colour.
The light intensity for the night light can be set from 1 5 using the
“ key. (Basic setting is 3)
Pressing the “
“ key again after light intensity "5" will switch off the night light.
Mood lighting
The sunrise alarm also offers mood lighting. This can be selected as follows with a transition from one colour into the next:
By (repeatedly) pressing the “
“ key, you can select the “automatic change of all night light colours“ (C8). Each individual colour will
be illuminated for about 3 seconds. The mood lighting can be selected by pressing the “ “ key (C9 = mood lighting).
The light intensity for mood lighting can be set from 1 5 using the “
“ key. (Basic setting is 3)
Pressing the “ “ key again after light intensity "5" will switch off the mood lighting. The mood light remains saved as the 9th colour
(C9). If you would like to change it again, press the “
“ key until you get to the "automatic change" of all night light colours.
Sleep timer (applicable for "normal" light)
With the lamp switched on, hold down the " " key for approx. 3 seconds. Now briefly press the " " to select 15, 30, 45,
60 or OFF.
If you select 15, 30, 45 or 60, the lamp will automatically be switched off after 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. If you select "OFF", the lamp is
on until it is manually switched off.
6.7 Display illumination
The background illumination of the LCD display can be dimmed in three levels using the "OFF/LO/HI" slide control on the reverse side
of the alarm clock.
OFF = display illumination off
LO = average display illumination
HI = strong display illumination
Please note that additional power is used for display illumination which will result in the shorter service life of batteries if the sunrise
alarm clock is used in battery mode.
6.8 Mains failure
The sunrise alarm clock is equipped with three 1.5 V type LR6/R6/AA batteries as a back up which maintains the alarm function even
after mains failure.
Battery mode only allows for the operation of the clock and the alarm to a limited extent. The alarm functions are restricted to the
"beep" alarm (irrespective of the preset alarm sound); the beep alarm is started at the preset time but the light does not go on in case
of mains failure.
Neither the radio nor the lamp can be used.
