Inmersiones sucesivas
Una inmersión sucesiva consiste en realizar una segunda inmersión antes de que
haya transcurrido el tiempo necesario para desaturar completamente el nitrógeno
acumulado en la inmersión anterior. En estos casos, Xtender muestra el nivel de
nitrógeno en el gráfi co de barras y el tiempo necesario de desaturación (Fig. 5).

Si realiza alguna inmersión durante este período de tiempo, los tiempos
disponibles sin parada serán más breves, ya que Xtender tendrá en cuenta el
nitrógeno que ya se encuentra en sus tejidos.
El planifi cador de inmersiones le permite monitorizar los tiempos sin parada
permitidos por el ordenador. Para ver el tiempo de desaturación y el intervalo de
superfi cie, pulse el botón “select”.
Inmersiones con Nitrox
En inmersiones con mezclas de Nitrox, es necesario introducir en Xtender la
fracción de oxígeno que contiene el gas que utilizará en la inmersión. Es crucial que
la fracción de oxígeno coincida con la mezcla de la botella, pues esta información
servirá de base para los cálculos de descompresión y de toxicidad del oxígeno.
