Assembly and Operation
Secure the workpiece with the clamp (4). Carefully stay away from the spinning saw blade. Make
sure the saw blade can not touch any of the fences and adjust the fences if necessary.
If you intend to cut a curved work piece, make sure
the work piece is not bent against the fence. Make
sure no gap forms between the work piece, the
fence and the base plate.
Long workpieces must be supported in a suitable
way, e.g. on a support equipped with rollers. Avoid
holding or guiding workpieces in a way which
compromises your balance.
To cut, operate the ON/OFF switch (1) before
pressing down the upper part of the saw. When the
machine has reached full speed, press the locking
button (2) and press down the upper part of the saw by the handle. Whenever possible, cut
through the workpiece with a single, even motion. Irregularly shaped workpieces can cause the
upper part to kick back up unexpectedly, therefore hold the handle with a firm grip.
Operation as a Table Saw
Set the machine up as a table saw as described above in the chapter “Converting the Saw”.
When using the machine as a table saw, always set the table to the lowest position. The table is
equipped with a scale for positioning the parallel fence (12). The parallel fence is fixed in place
with the knobs. The upper safety hood lifts automatically when a workpiece is pushed under it.
Operate the ON/OFF switch (1) and allow the machine to rev up to full speed before you start
cutting. Move the workpiece at an even pace with moderate speed over the table. Long
workpieces must be supported in a suitable way, e.g. on a support equipped with rollers. Avoid
holding or guiding workpieces in a way which compromises your balance.
Using the Push Stick (13)
When working on narrow or small workpieces, there is a danger of touching the spinning saw
blade with your hand. This will inevitably lead to severe injury. For this reason a push stick has
been included with the machine. Use it to push small workpieces against the saw blade. While the
push stick is not used, it should be stored on the machine. It can be snapped into the two clips on
the right side of the table.
Changing the Saw Blade
Damaged saw blades must be replaced immediately. Before undertaking any work on
the machine, pull the power plug and always wear working gloves when handling the
saw blade!
1. To change the saw blade, set the machine to crosscut and mitre saw and raise the arm to the
highest position.
2. Loosen the retaining screw (16) of the operating lever of the safety hoods and open the
hoods to gain access to the saw blade.
Please keep in mind that even a worn saw blade is still sharp!
Always wear gloves when handling it!
3. The saw blade is fixed on the drive shaft with an inner and an outer flange. In front of the
outer flange a screw is screwed into the shaft to tension the flanges. Between screw and
flange there is a flat washer.
